Well,at the beginning of the weekIfinally figured out how to bypass the Chinese internet restrictions, and then the power cord to the laptop promptly exploded. Lovely! So I have spent the past week trying to work with Dell Computers's China division to see if they can get us a replacement cord. It has been quite the debacle. We had to work forever to find someone who could speak English. Finally we found a lady, but her English was not that great. That works okay if you are speaking face to face, but over the phone it is practically impossible to communicate. I think we have one on the way, but it won't arrive until we get to Wuhan, so for now I have been recording everything in an email to myself, waiting to post it to the blog until I had some pics that I could add. Also, my account of Day Two in China was stuck in blogger, not yet posted because the power ran out on the computer right before I had the opportunity to get it uploaded. Bummer! For now, enjoy my written accounts. I'll add pictures when we get the power cord, or at the very least once we return home.
We are having a BLAST! I love China! I'll post my day two account later. For now, I'll begin with Day Three. Enjoy!
