This'll be a short post today. It's pretty hard to type with a broken and immobilized right thumb (see HERE).
Today I picked JoJo up from school. He's been riding the bus to my parents' place with Hyrum every day after school to give them a chance to get to know Grandma and Grandpa better. But now Hyrum has practice for the district elementary honor choir every Wednesday, so I decided to just pick JoJo up from school since it is so close to our house. That brings me to today's moment of mirth.
The situation for parent pickup at East Elementary is AWFUL. Horribly awful. By far it is the worst organized pickup of any school in the district. It takes FOREVER to move parents and kids through the line. After sitting in line forever today I finally was able to get JoJo. When he got in the car he said, "Mom, I wasn't thinking about you at all while I was waiting today. I could only think about how much I needed to go to the bathroom. So bad"
Good thing we only live two minutes from the school.
We got home pronto, and JoJo hopped out of the car and into the house without delay. He opened the door, stepped into the front room, and then suddenly stopped, ten feet away from the bathroom.
"Wait! What am I doing?" he cried.
Then he promptly turned around, headed out into the front yard, unzipped ... and took care of his business right there ... because, you know, where else should you go when you gotta go? Why bother with modern plumbing?
Boys ....
